Smokeless Fire: a Fire Spirits novel

Smokeless Fire - Samantha Young Smokeless Fire (Fire Spirits #1) by Samantha Young 5 stars For the last two years Ari’s life has been anything but normal and on her 18th birthday, when her friends surprise her with a gimmick genie claiming to grant wishes, Ari discovers the truth. The tragic and strange occurrences surrounding her 16th birthday were not coincidental and her life is never going to be the same again. Ari’s real parents are not normal. They are not loving. They are not human. They are myth. They are Smokeless Fire. They are Jinn. My Thoughts and Review Wow ! Loved love loved it ! This was the first moon I had read by Samantha Young and it was truly a treat to do so.It's a very unique story line, with some very awesome characters. I fell in love with the main character right away. The author has made such a believable cast of characters that it was easy to get sucked into all the craziness that's happening around them.Who would have thought to write a story about a Jinns !(They're basically like genies; "supernatural creatures in Arab folklore and Islamic teachings that occupy a parallel world to that of mankind." -from wikipedia.) Ari's life seems like the typical teenage girl's life, she soon gets swept into a whole other world she never believed existed: the world of the Jinn. As goes about learning of her true heritage, Ari must come to terms with who she really is and what it means for her. But nothing is ever simple and when the story progresses and as secrets unavel she finds herself in the middle of a power struggle that she wants nothing to do with. Ari wants to but, can't avoid her destiny forever and reluctantly begins to dive deeper into the world of the Jinn with the help of her Jinn Guardian, Jai, and her best friend, Charlie. I felt the characters were very like-able and had a well developed cast of characters. Smokeless Fire is the beginning to an incredible series surely to capture everyone’s heart as it did mine.I found the characters to be very unique and easy to fall in love with.I liked that the was a love triangle going on in the story which made it more of an exciting read for me. I can't say enough good things about the book. When reading some books you are drawn in from the beginning pages and this one did it for me. The first few pages I read and I was hooked. The book became quite the page turner and I couldn't but it down. The love triangle between Jai and Ari and Charlie couldn't have been better ,there is always one party who wants what they can't have ,when the sad thing is they had it all along and now it to late creating a heart wrenching drama throughout this whole story. This is a recommended read for the young and old. When the book was finished I was in awe and could wait to see what happens next! Went right to Amazon and downloaded book two and read the sequel into the midnight hours until I finished book two!Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
